I'd warn anyone to be careful of these guys. From the way I was treated it's a clear fact that this establishment doesn't care about the actual customer. Ron the general manager and Anthony I'm finance both made it clear that once you buy the vehicle you're on your own. After calling them and asking them to make it right they basically told me that there hands were washed of my issue and they couldn't do anything. I made sure I was 100% clear about what I wanted and they chose to do what they felt necessary to get a deal done. I have over 32k added onto my personal debt and they have almost guaranteed the possibility of me not being able to buy a home next month as planned. This infuriated me because the entire point of the transaction was to have my business liable and not myself. Surprised and confused I check my credit and low and behold there is the truck from Babylon Honda front and center. The reason for the 0 rating is that a month later I get a credit alert that my personal credit has a new account. They said they'd honor that so I won't complain on that notion as of yet. I drove 3 hours from Maryland to pick up the truck only to find out the the tailgate was broken. They were supposed to get my truck placed under the credit for my corporation and not under my personal credit and I was assured it would be handled. Finally after calling 3-4 times a day they decided to take me seriously and for a moment I thought everything was good. I should've seen that red flag and took my business elsewhere but they had the vehicle I wanted at the right price and they said they could get the loan done under my terms. Emma worked at a government research facility and Thomas begins to believe that she may have been killed because of something she learned at work that she was not supposed to know, something illegal that the company might be involved in. In her purse he finds a gieger counter and a gun and realizes that there is a whole lot more going on here than meets the eye. As Thomas begins to delve into his daughter's past he becomes alarmed at what he finds. After convincing his superiors to allow him to stay on the case he begins to believe that he might not have been the target. The only clue is that it was a professional hit and the assailants yelled, "CRAVEN!" Obviously, the police begin to suspect that it was a hit on Thomas gone wrong, probably by someone from one of his old cases. As Thomas is attempting to take Emma to the hospital she is gunned down in front of him on the porch of his own home. She seems to have a secret that she wants to share with her Dad but before she can becomes deathly ill. In the film, Gibson plays Thomas Craven a Boston Homicide Detective who is excited to have his estranged daughter home for a visit. The differences between the film and the original series are only slight and include minor changes to the characters names and the plot being set in Boston, Massachusetts as apposed to London, England. The film is directed by the terrific English director Martin Campbell and is based on the 1985 BBC Television series of the same name, which was also directed by Campbell. In the meantime we have Gibson's riveting performance in "Edge Of Darkness" to act, as a barometer for what solid screen acting should be. It will be interesting to see if in ten years some of today's more modern movie stars will still be around? I imagine we'll still have actors such as Russell Crowe, George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio but will flavor of the months like Gerard Butler, Christian Bale and Sam Worthington still be around? Fine performers in their own rights but time will only tell if they have what it takes to regain the title of movie-star status over the course of decades. Do I think these actors have some shortcomings? Yes, of course I do but pound for pound they are the elite and have been so for over two decades. In short they are the total package, an actor that fascinates the audience to watch while captivating with his performance. Yet at the same time, commanding the scenes with a presence that many fine actors just don't have. Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, the crime drama starring Ajay Devgn, Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles, is set to release on March 4 on Disney+ Hotstar in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali.Unquestionably, Gibson carries an on-screen presence much like Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise or Bruce Willis, a movie-star quality that allows the audience a familiarity with the actor no matter what character or what type of film he is in. The series, which is a remake of the successful British series 'Luther', presents a dark and riveting tale of a cop's journey of uncovering truths and bringing victims justice. And hopefully, it looks like a VT you've never seen before." It was a triumph of teamwork - camera, lighting, production, art, wardrobe, hair-makeup, direction. He got down to the technicalities of the sequence as he explained, "DOP Sanjay Memane set up eight cameras, from 2 AM the night before the shoot. Sharing the thought that went behind choosing the locations to shoot, he said, "At VT Selfie Point, we had Ajay Devgn and Atul Kulkarni in the middle of that busy crossing at peak hours, enacting a key scene. I hope when you see many of your familiar landmarks, you see something intriguing and different in the shot-taking." He adds that it was imperative to expose the city in a different manner through the locations, "So the creative decision was to expose the city in a way it hasn't before. But most of our locations have been seen before - it is, after all, Mumbai meri Jaan!" These locations needed multiple recce and visits to understand the area, lighting, logistics. Talking about the choice of location for and the story behind it, the director said, "There were seventy locations we shot across. MUMBAI:Director Rajesh Mapuskar, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming series 'Rudra - The Edge of Darkness' recently spoke about how locations bring out the essence of the story. If the tape is in direct sunlight for an extended amount of time, it can lose its adhesive property. Exposing the tape to sunlight: When you receive your double-sided tape, store it in a dry, dark, and temperature-controlled area.Double-sided tape loses its stickiness when it gets too cold. Applying the tape when it’s too cold: If it’s colder than 65 degrees Fahrenheit, you’ll need to either artificially warm the surface or wait until it gets warmer. For example, don’t use wood tape on painted walls. Choosing the wrong type of double-sided tape: Make sure that the double-sided tape you choose is appropriate for what you want to adhere.Read our list below to see what you’re potentially doing wrong. If you’re wondering why your double-sided tape isn’t working as it should, it could be from improper use. Double-sided woodworking tape, for example, is offered with a yellow or brown backing to match wood finishes. Most double-sided tape is clear to blend into different surfaces, but there are colored options. Some tapes come in packs of two, three, or more, while others come in singular, smaller rolls. Size and QuantityĬonsider the size and quantity of the double-sided tape you need. However, keep in mind that the tape loses some of its adhesion with each application. This makes buying a roll of tape an economical fastener solution, as you can use one piece multiple times. If a double-sided tape is fairly easy to remove, it’s probably designed to be washed and reused. Some manufacturers may suggest warming the area before removing their tape, which makes it easier to peel it off smoothly in one piece. Removalĭespite its strong adhesive, quality double-sided tape shouldn’t leave a trail of sticky residue behind after you remove it. Conversely, wider double-sided tape is useful if you want to cover more surface area using a single strip. Narrow tape sits between two thin objects without being visible. The length of the tape roll must match how much adhesion you need, but the width also matters. Double-sided adhesive tape isn’t as strong as nails or screws, but you’re sacrificing strength for convenience. Most double-sided tape can hold between five and 15 pounds, with the strongest holding 15-20 pounds.
The clinical experts expected a durable sustained response after treatment that was not expected with treatment from a single TKI. This mode of action differed from a single TKI. The clinical experts explained that immunotherapy was expected to not only attack and kill the cancer cells, but also re-programme the immune system to recognise and adapt to attack and kill future cancer cells. This was because of the differences in the biological mode of action between an immunotherapy and a TKI. They suggested that a different survival trajectory between pembrolizumab with axitinib and sunitinib could be expected. But, this effect would be similar to that of other immunotherapy combinations for first-line renal cell cancer.ģ.5 Clinical experts expected that pembrolizumab with axitinib would offer a durable response, but they were not certain about the size of the response. The committee concluded that pembrolizumab with axitinib was likely to have a substantial effect on the care pathway. It is likely that subsequent treatment options would then be considered from a combination of current first-line and second-line options. The CDF clinical lead and the clinical experts explained that if patients have first-line treatment with pembrolizumab (a checkpoint inhibitor) plus axitinib (a tyrosine kinase inhibitor ), then they would be unable to have nivolumab (another checkpoint inhibitor) or axitinib monotherapy later in the treatment pathway. During technical engagement, clinical experts estimated that over 50% of people who had first-line treatment would have subsequent treatment. This is because of enhanced tolerability and a longer duration of disease control when using 2 effective treatments together (noting that the IMDC criteria corresponds to prognosis, rather than a score of frailty). Clinical experts expected that patients who are less frail would be offered combination therapy instead of single agents. Treatment options, in particular cabozantinib, can be difficult to tolerate because of the side effects. Nivolumab with ipilimumab is also only recommended for patients with intermediate or poor risk renal cell carcinoma, through the CDF. Cabozantinib is only recommended for patients with intermediate or poor risk renal cell carcinoma. Avelumab with axitinib is recommended through the Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF). Pazopanib is most likely to be used out of these. First-line options for treating metastatic renal cell carcinoma include tivozanib, sunitinib and pazopanib. 3.2 The committee considered the current treatment pathway for renal cell carcinoma. I have looked for a tutorial on the ozi site to no avail. I believe they must be in a different format on ozi android as when I try import them ozi PC cannot find them. Where results were unsatisfactory, using Google Earth integration with geoencoding plugin allowed me to reencode selected photos quickly by pointing to the location in Google Earth were the photos were made.Aurumpro wrote:Hi guys I have been trying to import all of my waypoints from ozi android to ozi pc without any success. To some respect, using Google Takeout seems even more convinient then using Location History exports, as I was able to relatively quickly apply geocoding to all my images in the past 2 years and the results were (mostly) spot on. The plugin also has full integration with GPSBabel and Google Earth, which I used both and liked a lot. In particular, I liked the ability to interpolate Google location history in case of missing timestamps by filling in pauses and applying 'fuzziness' to the tracklog file. I also used Jeffrey Friedl’s “Geoencoding Lightroom Plugin" ( link) that seems to be much superior to the default Lightoom geocoding engine. So the advise is to use GPSBabel tool to filter out only the dates you are interested in. Takeout produces very big file as it downloads your entire Location History (which can be several years worth of locations), not just one day. I have already tried to apply the geocoding and it works fine. I looked around for the solution and for now everyone recommends using Google Takeout service to download your location history as that file is not affected by the removal of When tags. Been manually geotagging in the mean time. I haven't had time to figure out an alternative method yet. GPSBabel doesn't seem to recognize it well. Google changed the way it formatted or exported. Since we are not using paid storage, our Google photos are severely downsampled, so that is not a good option. Is there a walk-around? My Google history is amazing at capturing all our travels, but so far the only way I found on how the GPS tags can be applied is by allowing Google Photos to import all files. I've read somewhere that Google history does not include WHEN tags anymore in KML file? Is that why both GPSBabel and KML2GPX fail? But when I tried to auto-tag it to the photos from that day, Lightroom said "No matching files". So I tried online converter and it produced GPX file that I loaded in Lightroom. GPSBabel gives error, saying "kml: There were more gx:coord elements than the number of when elements" Tried to convert it using GPSBabel, using Google Earth (Keyhole) Markup Language as Input and GPX XML as output. Checked that it did keep extensive record of our travel by car, subway and on foot. KML file from Google location history of our Sunday's trip to NYC. Sorry for resurrecting the old thread, but this method does not work for me. Sadly, I couldn't go further since my phone didn't track beyond that. I was able to auto geotag 2yrs of vacation photos. Select photos you want to tag and choose auto-tag.Open Lightroom, Maps, Load track log using the GPX file.Once you have the location history logs (KML format) it needs to be converted to GPX format so Lightroom can recognize.Go to, under personal info & privacy go to "control your content", create archive, select location history, select format KML. If you need longer or all logs then google take out feature is required. For under 30 days of logs go to & export to KML.For iOS I believe you need to also have google search app installed. I think this is default if you are using android phone. Allow google to track your location history. For me, my android phone conveniently has all my location history as I carry it everywhere. You can use almost any device that gives gps logs. How it works? Lightroom has the ability to match Exif dates to GPS track logs and apply it to photos. I'm sure someone has posted something about it already, but just sharing my experience in case it is useful. It's awesome for camera that doesn't have GPS ability. Just figured out how to geotag photos in lightroom using my phone's location history. We will explore how to match colors and study classic compatible palettes (colors that work well together in a painting). We will play with formulas that work well for specific subjects (skies, skin, shadows). We will learn about the advantages of painting with a limited palette and we will make a lot of color charts in the process. We will experiment with color temperature, value, and intensity of pigments. You are on your way to understanding color temperature! I am offering the workshop Understanding Colors for the Watercolorist, to start in January! It will be held at Cloud 9 Art School in Bothell.ĭesigned to help watercolor artists understand both color theory and paint properties, we will explore the properties of watercolor pigments (transparent, opaque, staining, fugitive, granulating, on my!) and we will look at different ways of mixing color (on the palette, on the paper, wet-into-wet, glazing). Study the differences in mood, sense of depth, interest, personal preference. In the fourth version, paint it roughly half cool colors and half warm colors. In the third, paint predominately in one temperature with just a bit of the other temperature. In the second version, paint it using only warm colors. In the first version, paint it using only cool colors. Seeing temperature in color takes practice. Choose whether the dominant temperature will be warm and cool and be sure you use more of those colors. It's fine to have both warm and cool colors in your artwork, but not in equal amounts. It’s also important to aim for a temperature dominance in your paintings. Avoid equal amounts of cools and warm colors as it creates an unappealing result. The more we start to see these nuances in color temperature the better we will be at mixing colors as well since to create brilliant color you should mix colors that lean towards the same temperature. Cobalt Blue is slightly cool.Īnd neutral colors and earth tones, while typically appearing cooler because they are low intensity, still have differences in color temperature from one to the next. Cadmium Red and Light Red are warm reds, because they lean more toward yellow. Aureolin Yellow is slightly cool when compared with Cadmium Yellow. French Ultramarine is a warm blue. Rose Madder Genuine and Alizarin Crimson are cool reds. We say yellow is a warm color, but some yellows tend towards red (so you will see warmer tones in it) while others tend towards blue (which are cooler tones). Also, every color has a tendency towards either warm or cool. A color that might appear warm next to one color, could appear cool next to a different color. As you move away from blue-green in either direction, the colors will appear to get warmer and warmer, until you are back to red-orange again. When you move away from it in either direction, the colors will appear cooler and cooler, until you get to blue-green, which is the coolest color. Looking at the color wheel, red-orange is the warmest color. It also waives certain portions of interest for lower-income borrowers, which creates costs that will be borne by taxpayers. The Federal Assistance to Initiative Repayment (FAIR) Act, a supposed “fiscally responsible, targeted alternative” to Biden’s loan forgiveness plan still forgives debt for some students. Two bills proposed this spring demonstrate that Republicans will even compromise fiscally conservative principles to avoid challenging the “college for all” ideal. Republicans have a unique opportunity to challenge this premise, but they rarely do. But they don’t attempt to challenge the presumption that everybody should attend college. Democrats respond by proposing to give students immediate and tangible benefits to compensate for the ever-increasing costs of attendance. Strict employment regulations, the easy availability of federal student aid, and pushing every person to attend college have made college an expensive barrier to accessing many decent jobs. Worse, they ignore the fact that debt forgiveness was a response to legitimate issues with the higher education system-issues that Republican politicians have inadequately addressed. While conservative media stir up public rancor against the unfair debt forgiveness policies of Democrats, Republicans seem to be asleep at the wheel, hoping that a few fragile lawsuits would stop the nearly half-trillion-dollar plan from moving forward. The unfortunate reality is that Republicans had no long-term coherent plan for higher education-and still don’t. But with higher education costs becoming increasingly salient in the lives of voters, the Republican proposals lacked grounding. Sure, some of these proposals are benign-some are even reasonable improvements. What were the Republicans doing on higher education during the 2010s, if not addressing student debt and rising college costs? They were tilting at windmills, proposing trivial improvements on cost transparency, adjusting student aid eligibility for foreign medical schools, and carving out student loan deferments for special groups such as airline pilots. Republicans had years to work out a solution to the student debt problem but failed to act until it was already too late. But this bill was proposed in the summer of 2022, just a few weeks before Biden’s well-anticipated announcement of his debt forgiveness plan. Luckily, Republicans in Congress have a bill called the REAL Reforms Act, which would limit the authority of all future executives so that no such unilateral action on debt forgiveness could occur. The Biden administration’s actions on debt forgiveness represent a gross overreach of the executive branch’s power, as shown in the various lawsuits that they provoked. And, of course, President Biden ran on a moderated version of debt forgiveness. Warren announced she would use executive authority to cancel up to $50,000 of student loan debt in 2019. As Democrats tried to out-do one another on who could offer the most benefits for their constituents, it's no wonder that it eventually led to calls for massive student debt jubilees. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who campaigned for the Democratic presidential nomination on tuition-free college, influenced Democrats to adopt more extreme policies. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and the erstwhile presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. For-profit-college scandals further increased targeted calls for debt relief by Democratic politicians such as Sen. There were informal calls for debt forgiveness back in 2012, following the Occupy Wall Street movement. Indeed, the denouement of the loan forgiveness saga that has spanned the last decade should prompt Republicans to engage in some self-reflection about their lack of a coherent policy vision on higher education.įor years, there were telling signs that Democrats would pursue student loan forgiveness as part of the larger push for government-subsidized education. But the fact that this win hinged entirely on fragile arguments for standing passing through the Supreme Court should be unsettling to voters and politicians alike. This decision is a victory both for taxpayers, who won’t have to fund this unfair wealth redistribution, and for our constitutional system of checks and balances. The Supreme Court stopped the Biden administration from pushing through an unprecedented loan forgiveness program through unconstitutional executive overreach.
